《Sehwa Collection: Guidepost to the New World》 video release

《Sehwa Collection: Guidepost to the New World》, featuring a Yayoi Kusama work from the Sehwa Art Museum’s collection, was held. Although the exhibition, which was open for about six months, has ended, we are releasing a video that captures the entire process leading up to the arrival of the artwork.

The museum’s collection, Guidepost to the New World (2016) consists of multiple red droplet-shaped sculptures coming together as one. Adorned with Kusama’s signature polka-dot pattern, the work stands out with its vivid red hue and crisp white patterns. Like gleaming candy, the curved sculptures retain a sense of graceful form, while each droplet comes together as a collective to seemingly guide the way toward the unknown. Kusama’s expansive installation draws viewers into its space and environment, where the sculptures unfold.
