On the floor of the lobby of Heungkuk Life Insurance Building in Gwanghwamun, a barcode is installed. This barcode large enough to be recorded in Guinness World Records signifies October 25th, 2000, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Taekwang Group, and the message “Built in Gwanghwamun in favor of ILJU.” This implies the spirit of challenge toward a better future and the purpose of the building, based on the original intention of Ilju, Lee Im-yong, the former chairman and founder (1921-1996).
