Parade of Holonzky

Ingo Maurer and Eckard Knuth, both artists and designers of lighting, jointly present a magical lighting piece. This art work illuminating the lobby on the 1st floor of Heungkuk Life Insurance Building is entitled as [Parade of Holonzki]. It is made up of 60 sockets based on hologram technologies, and lightbulbs inside the sockets appear or disappear, depending on the viewing angle of the audience. The illusion of lightbulbs, created by each lighting, goes beyond the “function” of illuminations to reach the meaning of “existence.” This can be translated into the overturn of the general relationship between the producer and the product.
