Sehwa Museum of Art, affiliated with the Taekwang Group, presents the first solo exhibition in Korea by NONOTAK STUDIO, a creative duo based in Paris, from August 30 to December 31, 2025. Founded by visual artist Noemi Schipfer and Takami Nakamoto, a light and sound artist with an architecture background, the duo has been expanding the boundaries of visual and performing arts since their first collaboration in 2011 through multimedia installations that combine light, sound, and space. This exhibition offers an overview of NONOTAK STUDIO’s experimental artistic journey spanning nearly 15 years, from kinetic art incorporating reflection and movement of mirrors to audiovisual works interweaving reality and virtuality.

Their immersive works, which cross visual, auditory, and spatial perceptions, stimulate the senses and raise new questions about the way of perception itself. Exquisitely controlled light and sound create rhythms of light that dance to the soundtrack, expanding into an immersive experience that transcends time and space. Their work transcends mere visuals, engaging the audience’s entire body and immersing them in the work’s interior.

Furthermore, this exhibition sheds light on the synergy of genre convergence and cooperative creation, exploring the trend that collaboration is becoming an established creation method in contemporary art. Built on technology, sensitivity, and space, NONOTAK STUDIO’s works would provide a sensory experience of how crossover collaborations that transcend genres expand today’s artistic language.
