The Sehwa Museum of Art is hosting a program titled Enjoying Art with Coffee, inspired by the preferences of Beolsae, in connection with the exhibition James Rosenquist: Universe.

Gather in the museum’s lounge, where the soothing jazz music of Keith Jarrett fills the air, and take time to focus on the aroma and taste of hand-dripped coffee made from three distinct types of beans.

Together with a curator, you will appreciate the representative works of James Rosenquist: Universe, gaining insights into the exhibition while enjoying a special experience with music and coffee that reflects the Hummingbird’s taste.

Barista Ryu Hyung-jun from Hummingbird compares drip coffee to music. He explains that because drip coffee is made by hand, the same beans can yield entirely different flavors depending on who brews it. Just as music sounds different depending on who performs and conducts it.

Viewing Representative Works – Introduction to Drip Coffee and Tasting – Bean Aroma Experience and Tasting Card Creation – Sharing Insights

• Participants will use a tasting card to note their experiences with the suggested flavors and aromas of the beans proposed by Barista Ryu Hyung-jun.
• The experience will be accompanied by a select playlist featuring jazz albums by Keith Jarrett.
