Cinecube Hall 2

During the exhibition period, the film Amimamo Mimamo, Venus Bandit by HwaYoung Park will be screened irregularly at Cinecube. The screening schedule will be updated below as soon as it is confirmed.

Film Overview
Venus Bandit is a guerrilla performance photographer operating under a hidden identity. She receives online applications from individuals who have suffered from the injustices of social power, and secretly arranges playful performances that “punish with love” those who abuse their power, capturing the moments in photographs. Her photographic works have been well-received in the contemporary art world, and they showcase a delightful revenge of the powerless in a society ruled by the logic of power. “Amimamo Mimamo” is an imagined neologism that generalizes human sounds, like a dog saying “woof,” a cat saying “meow,” or birds chirping, from the perspective of the universe. Amimamo Mimamo, Venus Bandit is an independent film that presents an instinctive and intuitive gaze, capturing the absurdity of the world in a way that cannot be defined by learned and limited social language.
