Sehwa Museum of Art Exhibition-Related Program: A Different Way of Seeing

2026. 10. 24.-11. 28. every Saturday

Lecture Room, Sehwa Museum of Art

Georg Baselitz has challenged familiar ways of seeing by depicting figures and landscapes upside down, proposing new ways of looking at painting. In conjunction with the exhibition Georg Baselitz, Sehwa Museum of Art presents a new program, A Different Way of Seeing, inviting participants to experience this shift in perspective firsthand.

Just as each visitor approaches artworks differently according to their own interests and tastes, the program explores works and images through three distinct perspectives: the Researcher, the Wanderer, and the Enthusiast. By experiencing art in different ways, participants will have an opportunity to reflect on what brings them to the museum and to look at familiar artworks and art itself from a new perspective.

Program

1. The Researcher’s Eye

Through a docent-led tour of the exhibition Georg Baselitz, participants will encounter the artist’s works firsthand and explore his life and artistic practice in greater depth through lectures by art historians and specialists. The program also includes a screening of the documentary film Georg Baselitz (2013), offering a multifaceted understanding of Baselitz’s art and life.
