Tea-Time on Drama
2024. 4. 10. Wednesday
Sehwa Museum of Art
Join us for a serene tea gathering on the stage of Drama by SEOM:, where life’s story, beginning with the heartbeat, unfolds like a play.
On a stage filled with the aroma of tea, we’ll sit around a table resonating with the rhythm of a heartbeat, engaging in a tea ceremony that awakens our senses. Tea quickens our pulse, its rich fragrance stirs excitement, and the act of drinking tea offers calm, while its warmth brings comfort. What stories will the stage be filled with during this unique workshop?
This tea-time gathering is hosted in collaboration with Bohyang Tea Garden, a fifth-generation tea producer from Boseong. Choi Joon-yong of Bohyang, who grew up surrounded by the comforting scenes of tea brewing over a hearth, will guide this workshop with a focus on the enjoyment of tea’s taste, color, and fragrance shared among friends, rather than the formality of ritual.
Main Teas
- Organic Green Tea Woojeon: A first-harvested spring tea, capturing the essence of Boseong’s green tea.
- Organic Black Tea Sejak: A tea rich in floral, fruity, and sweet notes from low-temperature oxidation and aging.
- Premium Organic Fermented Black Tea: Made using a traditional Korean fermentation method, nearly lost, distinct from teas like oxidized black or yellow tea, and oolong.
- Additional Teas: Depending on time and availability, premium organic hojicha will be provided.
- Accompaniments: Handcrafted yanggaeng (traditional sweet red bean jelly) from Geumokdang, without preservatives.
