Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1 [Purpose]
The purpose of these Terms of Service is to set forth the conditions and procedures for the use of all services (hereinafter referred to as “Services”) provided by Sehwa Art and Culture Foundation (hereinafter referred to as “Sehwa Museum of Art”) through its website, as well as to establish the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and other necessary matters related to membership registration.
Article 2 [Notice]
These Terms shall become effective when posted on the service screen or otherwise notified to members.
Sehwa Museum of Art reserves the right to amend these Terms, and any amendments shall become effective when announced in the same manner as in Article 1.
Article 3 [Supplementary Provisions]
Any matters not provided for in these Terms shall be governed by the Telecommunications Business Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and other relevant laws and regulations.
Article 4 [Definition of Terms]
The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows:
1. “User” refers to an individual who uses the Sehwa Museum of Art website services.
2. “Administrator” refers to an individual selected by Sehwa Museum of Art for the overall management and smooth operation of the Services.
Chapter 2: Service Use Agreement
Article 5 [Formation of the Service Use Agreement]
These Terms are established to regulate the conditions and procedures for the use of Services provided by Sehwa Museum of Art under the Telecommunications Business Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
Article 6 [Modification of User Information]
Users shall promptly update any changes to the information provided at the time of service application.
Chapter 3: Use of Services
Article 7 [Obligations of Sehwa Museum of Art]
Sehwa Museum of Art shall not disclose or distribute the personal information of users obtained in connection with the provision of Services to any third party without the user’s consent, except where required by law, for criminal investigations, or in response to a request by the Korea Communications Standards Commission or other legally stipulated procedures.
Article 8 [Obligations of Members Regarding Use of Services]
1. Users shall not engage in the following activities while using the Services:
① Using information obtained through Services for purposes other than personal use without prior consent from Sehwa Museum of Art, including reproduction, publication, broadcasting, or provision to third parties.
② Infringing upon the copyrights or other rights of third parties.
③ Disseminating content that is contrary to public order or moral customs.
④ Engaging in activities that are objectively deemed to be associated with criminal activities.
⑤ Damaging the reputation of others or causing them disadvantages.
⑥ Violating other relevant laws and regulations or these Terms of Service.
2. Users must comply with these Terms, Service usage guidelines, and precautions as notified by Sehwa Museum of Art.
3. Users may not conduct business activities using the Services without the prior consent of Sehwa Museum of Art, and Sehwa Museum of Art shall not bear any responsibility for the results of such business activities.
Article 9 [Copyright on Submissions Related to Service Use]
1. The rights and responsibilities for submissions lie with the original poster.
2. However, copyrights, portrait rights, etc., for ideas, manuscripts, photos, etc., submitted by users through the Services, shall belong to Sehwa Museum of Art.
Article 10 [Service Availability]
1. Services are available 24 hours a day, year-round, barring any technical or operational interruptions. Exceptions apply for system maintenance, replacement, repairs, or other necessary circumstances.
2. Sehwa Museum of Art may divide the Services into specific sections and designate separate availability times for each section.
Article 11 [Service Interruption]
1. Sehwa Museum of Art may suspend Services in the following cases:
① When maintenance of equipment for the Services is necessary.
② In the event of unavoidable circumstances, such as suspension of telecommunications services by telecommunications service providers.
2. Sehwa Museum of Art may restrict or suspend Services wholly or partially in cases of national emergencies, power outages, service equipment failures, or service congestion.
Chapter 4: Restrictions on Use
Article 13 [Restrictions on Use]
1. Sehwa Museum of Art may terminate the Service use agreement or suspend Services without prior notice if a user engages in the following activities:
① Deliberately disseminating content that violates public order or moral customs.
② Using the Services with the intent to harm the public interest or for malicious purposes.
③ Damaging the reputation or causing harm to others.
④ Violating these Terms or any other usage conditions or relevant laws stipulated by Sehwa Museum of Art.
Chapter 5: Liability for Damages, etc.
Article 14 [Liability for Damages]
Sehwa Museum of Art assumes no responsibility for any damages incurred by users in connection with the use of free Services. Further provisions shall apply to paid Services.
Article 15 [Disclaimer]
1. Sehwa Museum of Art shall be exempt from liability for providing Services in cases of national emergencies, power outages, service equipment failures, service congestion, or other reasons that hinder the normal provision of Services.
2. Sehwa Museum of Art does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of information, materials, etc., posted by users in the Services.
3. Sehwa Museum of Art shall not be liable for damages resulting from materials provided through the Services.
4. Sehwa Museum of Art assumes no responsibility for any damages incurred by users in connection with the use of Services.
Article 16 [Jurisdiction]
In the event of a dispute arising from the use of Services, the competent court shall be the court with jurisdiction over the location of Sehwa Museum of Art.
[Supplementary Provisions]
These Terms shall take effect on November 13, 2024.
Privacy Policy
“Sehwa Arts and Culture Foundation (hereinafter referred to as “Sehwa Museum of Art”)” values the privacy of our customers and complies with the “Personal Information Protection Act” and the “Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.” Through this privacy policy, we aim to inform you of the purposes and methods by which your personal information is collected and used, as well as the measures taken to protect it. Any revisions to this privacy policy will be announced on our website’s notice board (or individually notified).
1. Items of Personal Information Collected
Sehwa Museum of Art collects the following personal information to provide services:
a. Collection Items
1) Service Provision (only for applicants who request services such as program reservations)
Optional: Organization name, affiliation, name, phone number, email address
2) Marketing and Advertising Activities
Optional: Newsletter subscription
3) Information that may be collected during service use and processing:
Access logs, cookies, access IP
b. Personal Information Collection Method
Personal information is collected via program application on the website.
2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
Sehwa Museum of Art uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:
a. User Management
– Personal identification of website users (program applicants)
– Establishing smooth communication channels for notifications, complaint handling, and feedback on improvements.
b. Service Provision and Contract Fulfillment
– Providing services between users (e.g., reservation for viewing, membership registration, program reservations).
c. Marketing and Advertising
– Exhibition development and specialization.
– Delivering promotional information about exhibitions, events, etc.
3. Sharing and Provision of Personal Information
Sehwa Museum of Art uses personal information within the scope outlined in “2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information,” and will not disclose personal information to third parties without prior consent. However, there are exceptions:
– If the subject has agreed to disclose the information in advance.
– If required by law or requested by investigative agencies following legal procedures.
4. Collection Sources of Personal Information from Third Parties
a. Personal Information Received: Reservation number, name, phone number, email address
b. Purpose of Processing: Personal identification of program applicants
c. Retention Period: 3 years (will be immediately destroyed upon request from the data subject)
d. Rights of Data Subject: Data subjects have the right to request suspension of personal information processing under Article 37 of the Personal Information Protection Act.
5. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
Sehwa Museum of Art will delete personal information without delay once the purpose of collection and use is achieved, without exception. The personal information outsourcing agencies and the content of their delegated work are as follows:
a. Event participation, responding to inquiries, etc.: Data is retained for 6 months after completion.
b. Consumer complaints or dispute resolution records: 3 years (under the Act on Consumer Protection in E-commerce, etc.)
c. Website visit records: 3 months (under the Telecommunications Privacy Protection Act)
6. Personal Information Destruction Procedure and Method
Sehwa Museum of Art will delete personal information without delay once the purpose of collection and use is achieved, in principle. The destruction procedure and method are as follows:
a. Destruction Procedure
– Information collected for service registration, etc., will be transferred to a separate DB (for paper records, a separate filing cabinet), and stored for a certain period according to internal policies and other relevant laws, before being destroyed.
– Personal information moved to the separate DB will not be used for purposes other than those prescribed by law, such as accounting (sales, audits, etc.), confirming facts due to an objection from the registrant, or complying with legitimate investigation requests by investigative agencies.
b. Destruction Method
– Personal information stored in electronic file format will be deleted using technical methods that make it impossible to restore the records.
– Personal information printed on paper will be shredded or burned for destruction.
7. Provision of Personal Information
In principle, Sehwa Museum of Art will not provide personal information to external parties. However, the following are exceptions:
– If the data subject has consented in advance
– In cases prescribed by relevant laws
8. Rights of the Data Subject and Legal Representatives and How to Exercise Them
You may view or correct your personal information at any time. If you wish to view or correct your personal information, please contact the personal information manager by email, and Sehwa Museum of Art will take immediate action. If you request a correction of errors in your personal information, Sehwa Museum of Art will not use or provide such information until the correction is completed. Personal information that is deleted upon your request will be processed according to the retention and use period outlined in the ‘Retention and Use Period of Personal Information,’ and will not be accessed or used for other purposes.
9. Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices
Sehwa Museum of Art operates ‘cookies’ or similar technologies that collect and store your information. A cookie is a small text file sent from the server of the website to your browser, stored on your computer’s hard disk. Sehwa Museum of Art uses cookies for the following purposes:

– To analyze the frequency of visits, visit duration, and user interests and preferences, track visits, measure participation in events, and provide targeted marketing and personalized services.

– Data subjects have the option to choose whether to accept cookies. You can configure your web browser to accept all cookies, check each time a cookie is saved, or reject all cookies.
– However, rejecting cookies may cause difficulties in providing services.

11. Technical and Managerial Measures for Personal Information
Sehwa Museum of Art takes technical and managerial measures to ensure the safety of personal information so that it is not lost, stolen, leaked, altered, or destroyed.
a. Technical Protection Measures
– Personal information is protected by passwords, and important data is thoroughly protected through additional security features.
– Anti-virus programs are installed to prevent leakage or damage of personal information due to viruses, spyware, or other malicious software.
– Sehwa Museum of Art applies security devices to protect personal information over the network.
b. Managerial Protection Measures
– Sehwa Museum of Art has established procedures for access and management of personal information, ensuring that those who can access it are familiar with and comply with them.
– Sehwa Museum of Art minimizes the number of personnel who can access personal information and provides regular training on personal information protection for employees handling such data.
– New employees are required to sign an information protection agreement, and internal procedures are in place to monitor compliance to prevent information leaks by employees.
– Sehwa Museum of Art conducts regular checks on technical and managerial protection measures to prevent any damage from personal information leaks.
12. Notification Obligation
If there are additions, deletions, or modifications to the current personal information processing policy, the changes will be announced at least 7 days before implementation through the website’s ‘Notice’ section.
